5 Valuable Tips For Your Social Media Strategies!

5 valuable tips to help you get organized with your SM Marketing Strategies.

1.  Break it down -

  • Who do I want to reach?
  • Are they a part of my niche?
  • How are people responding?
    • Do they answer emails better?
    • Do they send me their twitter names?
    • Are they active on Facebook?
    • Are they looking for answers/helps/service tips?

2.  Pick the most visible SM channels that fit your niche…

  • Blogging for answers/helps
  • YouTube for answers/helps/service tips/quick ads/how to’s
  • Twitter for clients that like quick updates to new links about helps/tips/discussions/articles
  • Facebook for answers/helps/service tips/discussions
  • LinkedIn for professionals that are looking to network/ask questions, join discussions, meet like-minded people, offer helps and tips
  • Squidoo for helps/service tips/how to’s/knowledge sharing

3.  Process Tasks in Batches

  • Pick a time of day to set aside for SM Marketing updates.  (I pick 2 times a day – morning and afternoon)
  • Link all your SM together to update at once.  (My Facebook fan page updates my Twitter and LinkedIn, my blog is set to post on my Facebook Fan page with every new post.  Which updates my twitter and LinkedIn…and so on.)
  • When you group similar tasks together, you save a lot of time.

4.  Avoid Multitasking -

Multitasking is good, but if your always interrupting yourself to answer an email that just came in, or a tweet that was just directed to you, or a comment that was just posted…your interrupting your thought process and taking away from completing your priority.

5.  ONLY Do What’s Really Important -

  • What is your main goal?
    • Do you want to write 1 new helpful tip a week? a day?
    • Do you want to provide service center tips in video form?
    • Provide discussions/helpful tips for generating leads? (splash page login/requiring emails?
  • What do you want to accomplish today?
  • Is what your doing right now going to help you accomplish that goal?
    • you can let calls go to voicemail
    • disable email notifications till you’ve accomplished your “goal for the day”
    • Go through your “to do list” and eliminate those items that aren’t very important and move on.

You’ll find that when you have a goal, plan, direction and you avoid distractions, then you’ll become more productive, attain your goals and spend less time trying so hard to market.

Oh yeah…

DON’T forget to rest…. recharge your energy levels so you are ready to get back to work … ;)
